Jacqui Hurst is an experienced Marine Pilot with the Port Authority of New South Wales, holding an unrestricted licence for Sydney Harbour and Botany Bay. She previously had a distinguished 17 year career with the Royal Australian Navy, where she gained extensive operational and leadership experience in a variety of warships, including active service in the Middle East. As a specialist Warfare officer and unrestricted Navy Marine Pilot, she piloted ships into numerous Australian and international ports. Jacqui was also the lead trainer and assessor in ship handling, bridge resource management and emergency procedures, mentoring deck officers from cadet through to master level.
Jacqui is a Non-Executive Director of the Australasian Marine Pilots Institute, a Fellow of the Nautical Institute and a mentor with Women Offshore. She holds a Bachelor of Arts, Master of Business and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
