What we do

We organise and deliver conferences and training workshops for maritime pilots from Pacific Island ports.

At PPTG conferences, delegates are provided international best practice training and development. Our inaugural conference in 2024 in Fiji was followed up with a second event in August 2025 in Rarotonga. We are already planning our 2026 conference to be held in the beautiful Kingdom of Tonga.

Additionally our facilitators are active between events collaborating with pilots in the Pacific to develop pilotage passage plans, and have supplied Portable Pilot Units (PPUs) to three ports and provided face-to-face PPU training on site.

Along with our facilitators, PPTG conferences include presentations by subject matter experts in technical and non-technical skills for pilots, along with associated experts from maritime legal and regulatory fields.
