Lew Henderson is reaching the end of his career after 25 years as a pilot in the Port of Wellington. Lew sees an opportunity to give back to the industry through training and mentoring particularly across the Pacific Islands.
Lew served as a tug master (on Voith, ASD and conventional screw tugs) and pilot launch skipper (on twin screw and jet power launches) giving him a broad skill set within the port environment. He has been a trainer and assessor within both the NZQA and Nautical Institute systems.
